Safe Water Voters are committed to clean, safe, and affordable water

FOR ALL OF US.

Our Principles:

Clean.

It’s a big job to clean up what we flush, and not long ago cities dumped this waste into the nearest river and let it wash down stream. Now we know better—but federal investment hasn’t kept up, and people across the country are paying the price, some more than others. We need to stop this pollution by investing in communities for all of us.

Safe.

When you turn on the tap at home, school, or work, you expect the water should be safe to drink. Far too frequently that this isn’t always the case. Whether it’s lead, PFAS, or legionella, people can get sick or die if their water isn’t safe. We need the federal government to protect all of us.

Affordable.

Water isn’t free—it costs a lot to suck it up from the river, make it safe to drink, and pipe it to our houses, not to mention taking care of what we flush down the toilet and pour down the drain. But that doesn’t mean that it should be unaffordable. We need to get creative and make sure that water is affordable for all of us.
